Foods and Nutrition I: Safety and Sanitation Performance Task
Role:
You are the county health and food safety inspector.
Audience:
The target audience is the workers in food
businesses and restaurants in the Tri-Cities.
Situation:
The challenge is to create a food safety and
sanitation document that restaurants and businesses will be willing to display
in prominent places in their kitchens. You intend for the document to serve as
a reminder to workers.
Purpose/Product:
You have noticed a serious decrease in
positive safety and sanitation practices in local businesses. You want to
provide a tool to help remind workers about basic safety and sanitation
practices. If the situation does not improve, you are afraid there will be food
borne illness outbreaks and you will need to start shutting down restaurants.
Standards
and Criteria for Success:
